Japanese Indigo Masu-koushi fabric is a 40cm wide textile unique to Japan. Immerse yourself in the rich heritage of Japanese Indigo textiles with this square-check pattern, woven from 100% Matsusaka cotton. Dyed using traditional Japanese Indigo (aizome) techniques, it offers a timeless look with natural depth and character.
Matsusaka cotton dates back to the Edo period and was widely used by merchants in Edo (modern-day Tokyo), with annual sales exceeding 500,000 rolls. This pre-washed Japanese Indigo fabric combines history, durability, and elegance.
This fabric is already washed. It's natural indigo dye, migration may occur due to strong friction.
