Matsusaka cotton is a historic fabric that dates back to the Edo era (about 150 years ago) and is recognized as a traditional craft from Mie Prefecture.
Known for its origins in one of Japan’s leading spinning centers, this Japanese Indigo cotton fabric carries a rich legacy of craftsmanship.
During the Edo period, the region flourished as a prosperous merchant town, further enhancing the cultural value of this distinctive textile.
It is said that merchants who mainly dealt with this fabric set up stores in Edo(Tokyo) at first and raised tremendous sales of more than 500,000 rolls(6,000,000m) annually. (Half of the population of Edo at the time)
Matsusaka cotton is the biggest feature of anything, is not it now that you are continuing a natural indigo dye that has decreased in Japan.
This fabric is already washed. It's natural indigo dye, migration may occur due to strong friction.

Washing methods
Since it slightly get discolored due to the friction of the water, please do not rinse it with others materials. Please shape the fabric up when drying.
Note: This fabric is an indigo-dyed product. Please note that there is a possibility of color migration due to heavy friction.
It will be sold at 0.5 meter or 1 meter unit.
When you choose 0.5 meter per unit:
Qty 1 = 1/2 meter
Qty 2 = 1 meter
Qty 3 = 1.5 meter
Qty 4 = 2 meter
... and so on
When you choose 1 meter per unit:
Qty 1 = 1 meter
Qty 2 = 2 meter
Qty 3 = 3 meter
Qty 4 = 4 meter
... and so on
