Japanese Denim Fabric – Japanese selvage denim is available!
Japanese Denim Fabric is recognized worldwide for its exceptional quality, especially among jeans enthusiasts.
The reason Japanese Denim Fabric stands out is that it is still woven on old-style shuttle looms. You can enjoy the change in texture over time, and the more you wash it, the richer the texture becomes.
Japanese Denim Fabric is also characterized by its unique uneven texture and distinctive color fading. Known as selvedge denim, it is typically about 80 cm wide, with selvages on the edges of the fabric.
Some selvedges have red threads to stop them from fraying, and these are known as “red tabs,” and are still popular among enthusiasts today.
We have just received a special shipment of such precious red tab selvedge denim.
This high-quality denim is produced in Okayama Prefecture, which is known as the birthplace of Japanese jeans.
It is available in two colors, navy and black, and is 10.5 oz. with a moderate thickness that can be used even in hot weather. It can be purchased by the yard or by the roll. If you are interested, please contact us.
